The Trip I Rebooked Three Times

After channeling Apollo and diving deep into the story of Pythia, the Oracle of Delphi, I knew I had to visit the site. I have a unique history of being called to places and, once I’m there, unraveling a complete past life, so I wondered if I might have a past life experience at this historic place too. For these past life experiences to happen, sometimes multiple conditions have to be met, and sometimes it’s a random whim and I’m suddenly on an airplane headed there. It’s a whole process that I trust and follow as it unfolds, and it usually only makes complete sense in hindsight.

So while I really wanted to visit Delphi right away, thinking it would be one of those random-whim trips, I actually had to pass through the whole next year first. From September 2025 to September 2026, I went through a series of elevating events that set the stage for my eventual visit to Greece. I’ll write another post about that journey and link it here. For now, let’s get into the actual trip!

For this trip, I took my oldest daughter, Olivia. It was the perfect trip to take her on, because earlier in the year I had seen that she herself is an Oracle. How fitting to take her to the site of a true, documented Oracle!

The Greece portion of the trip was set from day one. Turkey is close to Greece, and I had visited and loved it two years earlier with my youngest daughter (you can read about that trip here). So my rough itinerary was Greece, then a ferry from Rhodes over to Turkey for the second half of our trip. For a few weeks, I built out the whole itinerary, including booking all of our rooms. I use Booking.com, and I only book rooms where I pay at the property and have free cancellation, so if anything comes up, it’s easy to cancel.

I had no idea I would be pulled to completely rebook the whole trip, and more than once. I had us booked in Greece for about 10 days and in Turkey for 13, and over the course of a couple of weeks, I completely rearranged it.

My first change swapped Turkey for Albania. I booked all the rooms and sat with the dream of that trip for a few days. Then, a few nights later, I woke up at 3:30 AM and felt called to open a map and see which other countries were an easy flight from Athens and an easy flight to Istanbul. I landed on Romania! I was so happy. I knew from that feeling that THIS was finally the trip we were meant to take.

I knew from that feeling that THIS was finally the trip we were meant to take.

I lay in bed and, for the third time, rebooked the whole itinerary. This time I shortened our time in Greece to focus only on Delphi, the site that had called me there in the first place. Then I found the route I wanted to take through Transylvania and booked it all!

We did still end the trip in Istanbul, because before all the rearranging, I had already bought our flights into Athens and out of Istanbul. We spent 2.5 days there this time, and they were not great at all. By the end, I was thanking the heavens I hadn’t planned the whole second half of our trip in Turkey.

This story is about Greece, though, so let’s turn back there. I just wanted to set the stage 😉 Stories about Romania are coming soon.
